Scaffold hire
Scaffold hire covers mobile, aluminium, steel and modular scaffolding, together with the difference between equipment hire and a complete installed service.
For a larger work face, the scope may include supply, erection, the hire period, alterations as the project changes and dismantling at the end. A smaller defined task may point towards a mobile scaffold, provided the surface, movement path, height and user responsibilities suit that option.

Kwikstage scaffolding
Kwikstage scaffolding is a modular project-scaffold system built from repeating standards, ledgers, transoms, braces and platform components. It can be configured across work faces and levels, but the fact that the system is modular does not make every layout interchangeable.
The structure, ground, access points, loading requirements and sequence of work still shape the configuration. Discuss stairs, loading areas, chutes and changes in level early rather than treating them as late additions.
Edge protection and void protection
Edge protection and void protection address different fall exposures.
Edge protection follows an exposed edge such as a roof or perimeter. Void protection deals with openings within the floor or structure, including stair voids. Neither automatically creates the broader working platform or access route that a scaffold may provide.
Where a project contains both perimeter work and internal openings, describe each area separately. The right scope may combine systems, but each one still needs a clear job and a suitable relationship with the surrounding work.
Temporary stairs
Temporary stairs provide repeated access between levels. They can form part of a scaffold arrangement or serve another suitable temporary access requirement.
The important questions include where people enter and leave, how landings connect, what loads and traffic the route will handle, and whether the access needs to change as the project progresses. A stair route should be planned as part of site movement, not simply attached wherever space remains.
Rubbish chutes
Rubbish chutes create a controlled path for suitable construction waste from an upper level to a receiving area below. The loading point, support arrangement, discharge area, bin position and exclusion around the outlet all affect the setup.
A chute is not just a stack of sections. It needs to work with the scaffold or building, the waste-handling process and the space available at ground level.
Hang-on platforms
Hang-on platforms are localised external work platforms used with suitable scaffold configurations. Terminology varies between suppliers, so a photograph, drawing or description of the intended work area is more useful than relying on the name alone.
